Dedicated to the memory of Michael Delaney

This site is a tribute to Michael Delaney or ‘Mike of the Mountains’ as he was known. My Dad was diagnosed in 2013 with advanced Prostate Cancer that had metastatsized to his back and hips. For the past five and a half years he underwent trials of all sorts in an attempt to beat this horrible disease. During this time we cannot ever recall him complaining except to say ‘its a bugger’.

My Dad loved walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales where he made his home and friends. He took up the piano in later life too and never lost his passion for rugby, which he played until his mid 40s. Once ‘Studs’ as he was known hung up his boots he then took up tennis and after taking early retirement from BT retrained as a remedial massage therapist. He also became a carer for Pete, a young man whom he supported for over 15 years.

My Dad battled courageously and quietly, and in his honour and memory we will continue the fight on his behalf. We would appreciate any donation in memory of Mike to prevent other men suffering the consequencies of this devastating disease.
